Are you seeking a cuddly lap cat, more of a “couch potato cat”, or a lively, energetic cat?

Are there any particular behaviors or characteristics in cats that you find challenging to manage?

How many cats do you currently have?

If you do not have any cats at the moment, have you owned a cat previously? If so, for how many years?

What are the ages of your cats? Can you describe their personalities? For instance, are they highly active or mostly calm? Do they socialize with visitors or tend to hide? If you have more than one cat, how do they interact with each other?

Are your cats strictly indoors or do they have outdoor access? If they go outdoors, is it free-roaming or within a catio?

Can you ensure veterinary and medical care when necessary? Are you financially prepared for the responsibilities of cat ownership, such as vet appointments, food, and supplies?

Do you have other pets? If yes, what species and how many? Have they had positive interactions with cats before? Do you currently have any other pets at home, and how do you anticipate they will adjust to a new cat?

Do you own or rent your home? If renting, can you provide documentation of permission to have pets?

Have you ever surrendered a pet for rehoming or taken one to a shelter? If so, could you please elaborate on the circumstances?

Does everyone in the household have a favorable opinion of cats or desire to have a cat or kitten? Who will be the primary caregiver?

What is your plan for introducing a new cat to your household and aiding their adjustment to a new environment?
